Welcome!

Little Owl Preschool is a small school with large purposes; it is a school that ultimately will change the way young children interact with the world in ways that reflect: fairness and integrity, respect for others and the environment, and ultimately provide a springboard for the person they are meant to become. If we begin to value who children are, not just what we want them to be, a shift happens in the way we think about learning and teaching.

Curriculum

Here, the child's inherent desire to learn is acknowledged and facilitated. Critical thinking is enhanced and developed through a variety of curriculum strands that address social and emotional development as well as their growth. Children learn through hands on experiences to live fully and joyfully and ultimately become self motivated problem solvers with an abiding curiosity about the world.

Our teachers will share your children's growth, learning and understanding through documentation and portfolios of their "work" through their interactions with the environment, materials and their peers. Our educational program is holistic in that early literacy, science, art and math are integrated into all daily activities.

Vision

Little Owl strives to be a place full of joy, a small community within a large city. We wish to be a place for children, teachers and families to enjoy their journey of discovery.

Mission

Our goal is to value each child’s innate ability to create, learn and build meaningful relationships with others. We strive to be a place that encourages our attention to the details of the beauty and possibilities in the natural world. We therefore will encourage respect and stewardship for the world we share.
